And all I want to do, if you will, is to have them rot from the core', that's what EA had to say about Activision and the Call Of Duty games, as the company launches yet another attack ahead of the release of its own Battlefield 3.

EA has been trolling the Call Of Duty franchise for months now, with claims that Battlefield 3 is ‘flat out superior’ (and this long before Modern Warfare 3 had even been seen in public).

Activision hasn't quite been able to keep its mouth shut either, taunting EA about the fact that it still hasn't shown the console versions of Battlefield 3, but with this latest barb EA has taken the insults up a notch.

'I think that in a weird way it’s starting to feel a little to me like the Disneyland abstraction of a war game - a little bit jump the shark. So it feels a little bit like that to me,' said EA boss John Riccitiello in an interview with website IndustryGamers.

"The second thing is, I don’t know what’s in Elite right now, but based on what I’ve seen, I think they might’ve been better off holding the Elite thing and been a little more careful and show up a month after they’ve launched Modern Warfare 3,' he added.

'So I do think, though, that we’ve got the better game, the better tack. And if you think about your readership, it’s got a concentration of people that might tell the difference between a good game and a bad game. We’re going to do really well there.

'A lot of people bought Modern Warfare more for the coffee table and didn’t play it for 2 months. There’s sort of that mass audience... they’re going to win there. The question is, 'So, if the gamer buys our game and the mass audience buys their game, where do the two meet?' And all I want to do, if you will, is to have them rot from the core,' he continued.

Some might say he's got a point but are these really the sort of comments one of gaming's most powerful figures should be making in public? Maybe Bobby Kotick stole his Monster Munch or something but this sounds more like a schoolyard argument than insightful industry comment.

Look up the engine for Cod. They've been using the same Quake 4 engine since Cod 4.

Ok, let me just get my trusted Desert Eagle and shoot my friend. (Goes onto MW2 for 5 minutes and hated putting a foul game into my xbox and shoot my friend with a Desert Eagle.) Guess what, I just killed my friend from 10 feet away and not on hard core!

How can that trailer of 'Black Tuesday' blow all of BF3 trailers away? Please tell me.

I hope you realise how outdated CoD has gotten.
I used to love CoD, but the community has changed a once fantastic game. They also know that the next CoD is going to sell millions so they don't seem to make an effort to update it.

Battlefield however, Improve there game massively. From BF:BC2 it had outstanding graphics open spaces and much more. Now look at BF3 it has been improved so much.

Truth is. Infinity Ward/Treyarch both know how much BF is better but they keep bringing out CoD because it always sells millions. And that is why I will be buying BF3 instead of MW3 this year.

P.S. Infinity Ward hasn't even made an effort to update there Graphics engine.


Infinity ward may as well bring MW3 out as DLC, its only new guns and maps.


Dude. Look from COD4 to MW2's graphics. Big difference. Wait till BF makes 8 games and see how big of a difference itll be. They are on their 3rd game only not their 8th. And you dont think BO was a big change with their stuff for ranking up and stuff. You can't change a game that much or it wouldnt be cod anymore.

there are far more try hards in call of duty, you dont get tanks on every map, and at least you get vehicals in call of duty the tanks are over kill in bf2 the tanks are moderately decent they arnt alwayse 1 hit, and there multipurpose

Nobody mods Battlefield because theres no point to modding it. The only thing maybe, would probably be to get max level, because you have to be a complete no life.
Guys everybody knows in the back of your minds that BF3 is gonna be better no camping, no try hards, no whiny 10 year olds, no **** graphics, no **** **** mods(on multiplayer for co-op would be cool), no no-lifes that use the phrase ur mom evry 30 seconds. see BF3 has none of this poop. BF3 has mature people who like to play the game period.

Its two games, not a life decision. both developers have produced amazing games in the past, with Battlefield probably winning over realistic, but I still play Call of Duty more. But I really, really love both games, even if Activision are money grabbing **** who make you pay 1200 Microsoft points for 5 maps when in Battlefield its 400 Microsoft points for basically a new section of the game...Both are good, and both are bad,I love both and will be getting both. No game is better than each other, it depends who you are and how you play. Some people like Pokemon, some don't. But you don't see them arguing saying how overpowered Pickacho is or whatever! Just shut up and agree that people aren't the same as yourself...
