Much like Discord, TeamSpeak is offering free servers for VoIP needs of users straight from the client, however, it isn't unlimited. It looks like the free tier starts at 4 slots per dedicated voice server with payment needed for allowing higher numbers of users. The free offer is increased to 10 slots for beta testers.
TeamSpeak, one of the most popular voice communication apps for gaming before Discord came along and took over the world, is returning with a new look. The team behind the software has kicked off a closed beta for a completely new application that does away with the old school setup for something that will obviously be compared to what Discord offers.

The ability for users to set up their own servers is still an option on the new client, and it is also fully backward compatible with existing TeamSpeak 3 servers, shedding any need for reconfiguring or new licenses. The Overwolf-powered overlay is returning with the new client as well. Moreover, a mobile app is planned to release in 2020 for even more connectivity.
A fully customizable interface is also included that lets users edit themes and share them with others using the platform. And as it should be, the default theme is dark mode. End-to-end encrypted text chat rooms arrive with the new client as well, offering direct chat, history, permissions, and other functionalities seen on modern messaging apps.
The new TeamSpeak has just entered closed beta but a release schedule for open beta or full release hasn't been shared just yet. The developer promises that even with the new look, TeamSpeak will offer the "best-in-class voice quality, rock solid military-grade security, total privacy, ultra-low latency and the lowest resource usage of any VoIP software."
