Battlefield 3 to sport “thousands” of custom weapons

Players will be able to customise the more than 50 weapons found in Battlefield 3, resulting in a huge range of options.In a post on the BattleBlog, DICE revealed “thousands of weapon customization options” available to players of the upcoming shooter.

Each weapon will sport three accessory slots, and the more time you spend using each weapon, the greater the number of option you’ll unlock to fill those slots.

Accessory options will include optics, suppressors, bipods, barrels, underslung grenade launchers, underslung shotguns, foregrips, flashlights, and laser sights.

DICE gave the example of a carbine kitted out with heavy barrel, bipod, and a 4X magnification combat scope for use in a supportive, mid-range role, and then another equipped with a suppressor, foregrip, and quick acquisition holographic scope for stealthy types.

Battlefield 3 is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late October.

I'm not going to make assumptions as to which game will be better than the other. I will wait until I play both and then make that decision. As far as I can tell Battlefield 3 looks AMAZING. The level of customization they brought in with the graphics means they truly are trying to give us gamers an experience. The Call Of Duty Franchise has been sticking to it's roots as of late. With the security issues from MW2 you would of thought they would have had Private servers. Not the same one from MW2. Nor would they have used the same engine MW2 was built upon.

I eagerly await until I can finally play them both.

-Fleshyy- yea I bet half the people that play BF don't even have a mic to use "teamwork" that's why cod is better because you don't need to rely on other **** to have a Decent if not Great Game

You don't need a mic for teamwork. You don't need teammates to have a great game (personally). You need teamwork to win. If you played BF once, you would know this. Though, you haven't so any opinion you have of it is based off what other people's opinion.

CoD isn't better and i agree with Poetic
you do need team work to win a game of battlefield while on CoD you can be a stupid kill whore and still win because people are **** and don't know the term "teamwork"

Seriously, you dont need teamwork to play BF,everyone say you need teamwork but they dont say how your helping your teammate ? Yeah you can give ammo and heal some member and repair tanks , But in CoD you can too, you can give ammo
(care package)you can be heal (last stand)so can anyone please tell me where is the teamwork in this game ?


Seriously Marine, that has to be the most supidest comment on TTG. You really don't know the meaning of Teamwork do you..?

And Kulo is right we can't criticise(criticize)until both the games are released so save the arguements for later.

But if I say which game I like most from MW2 and BFBC2, I would say I love BC2 much more, In fact my favourite type of game, not to mention I have played MW2 much more (2 Years)than BC2.


First off , last stand is not realistic at all,you dont take numerous bullets to the chest and go down and be like, oh yeah ill just pull out my pistol and shoot this guy. Care packages are gay becuase you cant pick what are in them, wtf to that...... bf3 ftw


1st its not meant to be realistic, its an arcade FPS. The damage levels and effects are not realistic either (in either gamer). Errybody already knows that BF is closer to realism.

2nd. OMFG I hate last stand to death! and all the faggets that use it!

3rd. @the first comment, lmfao. It depends what lobby you're in. Personally, unless i bring my own friends theres only a 5% chance of me finding a "teamworking" team with mics in either game. your argument is invalid.
