MW3 Didn't Copy BF3, What Brings Fans Back to CoD, and more

For those of you who think that only Infinity Ward and Treyarch work on the Call of Duty franchise, you should know that Sledgehammer Games are developing Modern Warfare 3 side by side with Infinity Ward. Today, we have found some interesting things that Glen Scholfield and Michael Condrey, the co-founders of Sledgehammer Games, said about Modern Warfare 3.

When a fan claimed that Modern Warfare 3 is copying Battlefield 3, Scholfield answered “We (the people behind MW3) haven’t copied BF3 at all. No need to and never seen much of it. We’re making the sequal to MW2, that’s what we look at.” Of course, MP1st’s loyal readers might recall that Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has only played about an hour of Battlefield 3 and loved it.

On another note, in a recent interview with NowGamer, when ask about the competition with the Battlefield 3, Condrey explained that he shares Eric Hirshberg’s thoughts, which you can find here. He went on to shed some light on what brings gamers back to Call of Duty by stating“It (Call of Duty) is fun, it’s fast, it’s 60 frames per second.” He explained “what 60 fps mean is it feels smooth, you’re in the action right away.” He ended his point with “I think that’s what’s been bringing fans back time and time again to Call of Duty.”

When asked, on twitter, on whether the premium Elite service has anything to do with Dedicated servers on PC. Condrey reassured that “(dedicated servers are) free to all PC. Independent of Elite.”

Bad Company 2 was 30 frames per second(and 99% of all the video games out there are 30 fps also) and I prefer it more than any CoD. Personally I don't give a flying f*ck about MW3 being 60 fps. Not flaming here but all I've heard sledgehammer/IW boast about MW3 is their beloved 60 fps when it comes to comparing against BF3. MW3 looks awesome, just BF3 appeals more to me. Gameplay is more important than looks, nuff said.

Everyone seriously needs to shut up about the FPS in MW3. Most of you don't even know what you're talking about, and the ones that talk like they do, really don't know anything... So please shut up.

Also, 60 FPS isn't the reason why people go back to CoD. It's the style of game play, period. Honestly, the producers don't know crap about what brings CoD fan boys back. Most of it is because they are "FAN BOYS". Next reason is the differences between Infinity Ward and Treyarch. It really bugs me how when people hear about a game by Infinity Ward, they automatically think "I can't wait, it's obvious it's going to be better than Treyarch's game!"... Not true. MW2 was a f*ck up. CoD 4 was the only CoD that IW has released that was nearly perfect. Ever since then, they've slowly declined. But now as you can see, they are starting to bring back the old stuff from CoD 4 (the stuff everyone loved).

After IW comes Treyarch. I don't see where the hate for them comes from. They make great games too. Sure Black Ops wasn't good but they did have GREAT concepts. But CoD 3 and WaW were amazing. Plus, in WaW they came up with the best idea in any FPS, Zombies... No one can deny, that it was one of the best game modes ever invented.

Oh so now you guys realize there are FAN BOYS inside of FAN BOYS for CoD players! TREYARCH vs INFINITY WARD!!!!! No... Stop...

Anyways, now comes BF3... BF3 has COMPLETELY different game play compared to CoD. So why compare the two?! It's like comparing Team Fortress 2 to Left 4 Dead...! They are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Knock some sense into yourselves before you start a big flame war.

Lastly, both games are going to be GREAT! The only difference between what will make them "great" is how well they sell. Obviously MW3 will sell more than BF3, only because CoD has been the #1 game so many times, that's the only game people think about when they hear the letters FPS.

So please, don't get so damn butt hurt the next time you hear Treyarch releasing a new game, or MW3 is better than BF3 or BF3 is better than MW3, or 60 FPS means better game play (when 80% of you don't know what the hell you're talking about, you just try to look like you know what you're talking about).

Y U SO SMART?!?!?

That's exactly what I've been saying all along. People in this whole IW vs. Treyarch and CoD vs BF need to get over themselves. Both games are great, both IW and Treyarch have made great CoD's, and each game has it's pros and cons (yes, that means Battlefield does too). No game can possibly please every gamer in the world, it just comes down to personal preference.

-Spirt- OMG this is what I hate because no one understands this... Yes MW3 will have 60FPS and BF3 will only have 30FPS but you have to remember that MW3 does not stay at a constant 60FPS the frame rate will drop just like in every other call of duty and it will go down to around the 20FPS but BF3 will have a constant 30FPS no matter what is going on. I am not saying one is better than the other i am just stating the facts.

You are a dumass if you have had infections on MW2 or COD 4 you would know that the FPS goes down to 59 with lag and if you have excellent connection it will stay at 60 and it can go up to 61 your statement is false and how would you know the FPS On battlefield?Exactly you dont know that for sure there are no hacks for Battlefield therefore only the developers know so your wrong in so many areas.
you just proved BF is better than CoD in the security function. and there is a way **** its called playing a game recording it then checking the frames in Sony Vegas

Better?No i prefer to play COD on consoles and just because COD has hacks BF is better?COD Isnt even modable anymore so STFU and yes battlefield is a good game on PC Though i love it on PC just saying i am no Fanboy of either but TF2
CoD is still mod able on the PC, as a matter of fact, just the other day I was playing my star wars galactic warfare mod on there the other day...... But PC games are meant to be modded so the game doesn't get dull as shit... (For instance, the KotOR series.... You can literally go online and find hundreds of new content completely for free) This is also why some people prefer PC gaming over Console gaming because most developers for PC games encourage Mods for there game, but if you go and try to mod a console game to have new content and play different you would get banned if you had xbox live/ PSN....
