The Game Awards has traditionally been known as a major place at the end of the year for game announcements, and at this year’s installment of the ceremony, Microsoft got in one of the biggest announcements with a formal reveal of the name of its next console.
During The Game Awards 2019, Microsoft officially revealed that its next console, which was previously known as Project Scarlett, is officially called Xbox Series X, along with giving us a look at what (presumably) will be the final console. The trailer itself gives us a closer look at the system and the final reveal of the name, while also thematically tying into the console’s enhanced visual power and tech, which is being claimed as the most powerful Xbox ever released.
