Resident Evil 3’s PC Version Will Use Denuvo DRM

4
Despite it being very possible we won’t see Resident Evil 8 for a good long while, the remake of Resident Evil 3 is right around the corner. Fingers crossed we’ll see another slam dunk from Capcom with this, but PC players may be annoyed regardless of the quality. While it’s been said the game will have more remixed elements than the remake of Resident Evil 2 from last year, it’s PC port will share one thing in its use of Denuvo.

As confirmed via the game’s Steam page, the game will in-fact use the controversial anti-piracy software on the game. Resident Evil 2 also used Denuvo, but it was removed roughly one year after release from the Steam version. The software has often been controversial with players due to its often excessive background use, and it’s also known for getting cracked quickly and easily. Regardless, it’ll be there for the survival horror remake.

Resident Evil 3 releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 3rd.

High background usage and can easily be cracked. That sounds like great fun.
