Former Infinity Ward bossmen Jason West and Vincent Zampella have an official court date of May 7, 2012 to settle their dispute with Activision. West and Zampella seek $125 million in unpaid royalties from Modern Warfare 2 sales and wish to reclaim their contractual rights to the Modern Warfare brand. Activision fired both developers in March 2010 for illegally consorting with EA, and has counter-sued West, Zampella and EA for $400 million, claiming EA hijacked its employees.
Since The Firings, West and Zampella founded Respawn Entertainment and now have 40 former Infinity Ward employees working at the studio, which is creating an unannounced, blurry IP. Activision's suit is clear to proceed, but doesn't yet have a date -- considering how long this first case could drag on, we guess it'll go to court around January 2068.

I dont see how the sales of games determine how good they are, I bought Black Ops and **** hated it, but still another sale on the chart. Also known that MW3 (IMO Looks ****) im still going buy it. Will I like it? who knows.
Exactly I loved MW2 but it doesn't mean i will like MW3.
I started playing cod around a not quite a year ago. Starting with black ops. I liked it at first, then i found out about cod 4. I went to it and loved it. then, i found out about waw, i played it but didn't like it to much but i bought a iso disc and just modded zombies so it was pretty fun, and then i found out mw2 and i played it and thats what really got me liking CoD. i played it alot and its awesome, but the problem is i have seen mw3 videos and it is the same exact god damn game as mw2 almost nothing has changed except weapons and maps. I mean thats complete bullshit. I don't want to preorder a game and get all excited over a game that i have basically already played. They need to stop rushing games yearly and actually put some work into it. but i get why they just rush games in. Because why wouldn't they? they make loads because people preorder it just because its call of duty. I mean i love Call of Duty and don't see me changing to playing a different fps, but i also think its complete bullshit that they are bascially remaking mw2 and adding a number to the title.
