Five of Bethesda’s best games are now DRM-free and 70% off

Bethesda is finally bringing its modern catalogue to GOG, starting with five of the company’s very best games – which, perhaps coincidentally, were not developed directly at Bethesda. The full Dishonored series from Arkane Studios and a significant chunk of Machine Games’ Wolfenstein reimagining are now DRM-free, and extremely cheap to celebrate the occasion.

Dishonored – Definitive Edition, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and Dishonored 2 are now available via GOG, with the option of the usual standalone, DRM-free installers. You can purchase each game individually, or get the full collection for 70% off – $23.99 / £16.49. Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood have also arrived – you can also get them separately, or together for $8.99 / £5.99.

Bethesda has brought many older titles to GOG in the past, from the early Fallout and Doom games to the oft-forgotten Elder Scrolls games, like Redguard and Battlespire. They’re also on steep discount as part of the publisher promotion, so head over to GOG if you’re looking to fill out your digital collection.

The publisher sought to make the Bethesda Launcher a thing with an exclusive launch for Fallout 76, and for a time it seemed that all its major titles would follow suit – but Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Rage 2, Doom Eternal, and Fallout 76 are all either on Steam or about to be, so it seems that directive has changed.

Hopefully the publisher’s robust selection of RPG games and FPS games will make the jump to GOG sooner rather than later, so we can get fully DRM-free editions of the full catalogue.
