According to CD Projekt Red, since its release on the service in October 2018, The Witcher 3 has pulled in over $50 million.
That’s accumulative revenue, as Steam takes a cut from sales. As a result, CDP said it is now getting an 80% share of sales through the service.
The game broke its previous concurrent players record on Steam over the holidays after The Witcher Netflix series aired. The peak concurrent players hit nearly 102,000 players.
NPD also estimated sales of the game were up by 554% in December 2019, coinciding with the release of the the series.
The accumulated revenue from sales of The Witcher 3 on @Steam platform for the period of time between October 1st 2018 and today has exceeded 50M USD. As a result, we are now getting 80% on any subsequent sales of TW3 on Steam.
