Mixer, Microsoft’s take on a live-streaming platform saw them sign some Mixer-exclusive deals with some top streamers including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Cory “King Gothalion” Michael, Soleil “Faze Ewok” Wheeler., and Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek. In recent news, Twitch has now signed two large streamers ensuring they’re exclusive to Twitch.
Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm are the two streamers who have come forward with their Twitch-exclusive deals. Both have disclosed they’ve been given a large deal of money, but exact figures haven’t been shared.
Pokimane has a Twitch following of 4,001,554 and often creates Just Chatting streams before jumping into games such as Fortnite and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. She’s also had one of her TikTok dances turned into a Fortnite emote, which was shown as an example during the TikTok collaboration between Epic Games and TikTok.
She revealed her deal last week in a YouTube video titled “why”. She reveals that multiple platforms offered her “life-changing money for any of us streamers” but opted to take a lesser amount from Twitch due to her preference for its technology, the infrastructure, and its community.
Dr Disrespect was featured in an interview with The Verge where he announces that he’s re-signed a Twitch exclusive deal for another two years for “a lot” of money. He explains the experience, “To me, it’s pretty shocking, and it’s very obviously life-changing, rewarding.”
Rod Breslau, an esports journalist took to Twitter and stated that the deal is “millions of dollars per year,”.

Last year, Dr Disrespect was banned from E3 and Twitch for live-streaming inside a public bathroom. The ban from Twitch only lasted two weeks, which saw a lot of backlash from those thinking the ban wasn’t harsh enough.
