News of the potential delay was announced on Twitter after the studio began remote working in a bid to help counter the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
“As we’re working from home to do our part in protecting our community, our workflows will unfortunately be impacted,” it explained.
“We’re working hard to deliver Minecraft Dungeons in April, but we’re also re-evaluating our timeline to make sure we bring you the best game possible. Stay tuned!”
The Minecraft Dungeons launch window was revealed during Microsoft’s X019 event in November 2019, which was also used to announced new IPS from Rare and Obsidian.
The action-adventure game, which is inspired by classic dungeon crawlers, is playable solo or co-op in a group of up to four people.
It will be released for Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC, and will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at launch.
