Fortnite pro says the game needs more passionate fans like CS:GO

If you’ve ever spoken to a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fan, you’ll know how seriously they take the game. From competitive matchmaking to Wingman and Danger Zone, CS:GO players are in it to win it. Their undying love for the game is something that Fortnite pro player, Bumpaah, feels is missing from Epic Games’ battle royale.

Bumpaah is a long-term competitive Fortnite player, but like some of the other pros on the scene, he’s not happy with the direction Epic Games is taking it. He admits he’s feeling worn down by the battle royale at the moment, especially given that the latest patches feel like they’ve been aimed towards the casual player base.

And it’s that casual attitude that Bumpaah feels is letting down the side. Speaking on the Hotline Fortnite Twitch show, the pro player believes that CS:GO’s rising player count and strong competitive scene is down to the fact that its player base loves the game. They live and breathe it in a competitive sense and that’s what’s “missing” from Fortnite.

Bumpaah’s comments, which you can read in the full story over on our sister site The Loadout, have caught the attention of the Global Offensive subreddit, which for the first time in a while, have found themselves agreeing with a Fortnite player.

CSGO has been around a lot longer and imo has more respect that fortnite since it's not label as a "kids" game.

The reason why there's no passionate fans is because its a BR, not an esport. Epic can make prize pools for fortnite tournaments but it doesn't make it an esport. Everything is random and there's no constant. Each match is completely random. Where you land, what loot you get, and what gun fights you get into, etc.

I've stopped playing Fortnite a long time ago. It's just not my sort of game with building, bloom, bullet damage, graphics. All crap.

if the br didnt have building walls and stairs to win the game and the guns did proper shooter damage it would be fun, but the graphics and gameplay is what is holding us adults off the game because it isnt fun, graphics dont make a game yeah but for people who are colorblind and the colorblind option doesnt do jack sh** these graphics sucks.

csgo fans are not passionate to their game us cs fans kept asking for 128tick servers in official matchmaking for years and never gotten it, yes we care what they do to the game, fortnite has one thing going suing cheaters and maybe if epic didnt suck ninjas d then more people would go to it. but why bother when csgo is free and cod warzone is vastly much better and much more fun to play.

they just need to up ars damage to headshot range nerf shotgun damage range removing building from br use a more realistic style graphics mainly the style valve used for csgo thats a good visual style because it doesnt hinder us colorblind folk boom good game, mostly just remove building and up the damage range for automatics and nerf shotty damage range, thats all they need to do.

fortnite already has passionate players its called the kids, and ninja

imma be honest i know so many kids who wanna be pro on fort not csgo. i feel like they only reason Fort seems like that is because its so saturated
