Sony made the surprise reveal of the PS5’s DualSense controller earlier this week, which will launch alongside the console in place of the expected DualShock 5. The controller is mostly white, with black analog sticks and a colorless d-pad/face buttons. This unorthodox design has led many to speculate what the PS5 console will look like, given that it is likely to closely follow the appearance of the DualSense.
A new render posted by LetsGoDigital has used the information currently available about the PS5, then worked off the DualSense design to conceptualize what the PlayStation 5 could look like. The end result is a sleek system with glowing blue lighting, not entirely dissimilar from the PS4 but almost entirely in white.
A front-facing image of the PS5 render shows the PlayStation logo displayed prominently in metallic silver, with ventilation located on the bottom of the console while blue lighting strips run alongside its edges in a similar fashion to the DualSense:
The front of the console depicts the power and eject buttons, along with a slim black center giving it the same “sandwich” look of the PS4 and PS4 Pro:
Sony has yet to officially reveal the PS5, so it’s unclear if these renders nail the concept or if they’re off-base. Still, it seems more than likely that the PS5 will feature a white design considering the coloring of the DualSense, so we shouldn’t be surprised to see the upcoming console looking similar to these renders when it’s finally unveiled.
