Valorant Closed Beta Access Now Drops on All of Game’s Twitch Streams

4.4
Starting right now, Valorant closed beta access will now drop on any Twitch stream playing Riot Games' first-person shooter.

Have you been waiting to play Riot Games’ new first-person shooter but your favorite streamer doesn’t have “drops enabled?” Well, you’re in luck, Valorant closed beta access will now drop on any Twitch stream playing the game.

Previously, in order to get closed beta access, you had to watch Twitch streams from specific streamers who had “drops enabled” in their title. Now, that is not the case. You can now stream anyone playing Valorant and potentially get access.

In Riot Games’ post, it says that closed beta access drops happen 24 hours a day. However, it will not increase the number of drops. You also need to watch on the Twitch streaming service, as your Riot Games account must be connected to your Twitch account.

Valorant closed beta access will only be eligible for players in Europe, Canada, United States, Russia, and CIS countries. The previously mentioned post does state that Brazil, LATAM, and Korea will be the next regions to receive eligibility. Riot Games just can’t confirm dates yet.

Since the closed beta began, Riot Games has already increased its server loads by +25% and manually gave access to the most engaged Valorant stream viewers. They have also banned several account sellers and will continue to throughout the beta period.

Valorant is Riot Games’ take of the first-person shooter genre. Despite it only being in beta, the game broke Twitch viewership records in its first week. It was recently discovered that a mobile version of Valorant may release in the future.

If you haven’t received Valorant closed beta access yet, you can check out our guide. However, remember that you will no longer need to find streams with “drops enabled.”

I just recently received access to the beta and it is all I really want to play. Watching a Twitch stream doesn’t do Valorant justice. It is so fun, mixing elements from several familiar shooters in really great ways. If you have the means, I definitely recommend trying Riot’s latest out.

Int I don't really get the hype around the game, I feel like it will just die off a few months after launch.

I think it definitely have potential to stay relevant but it's all up to them if they can do it. If they can get streamers to stay on the game it will definitely be just fine.

Mike People been going crazy over this game its basically pc only

I mean it is pretty good but I have a bad feeling it's going to die down after launch. As of right now it is PC only though. Think it would be pretty bad on console.

SR20DET Now I haven't kept up with this game at all, like I only know that it's kinda like CS:GO. But I have also seen a lot of people say something about it's Anti-cheat being a rootkit? Doesn't seem very safe.

It's like if CSGO and overwatch had a baby together. And yeah that is the anti-cheat software. Don't know if they have any plans to change that either unfortunately.

That should open up some more spots for people to get keys. I must say I really am enjoying this game and I hope it doesn't flop after it launches like some games have.
