Halo 2 Has Begun Public Testing for PC

PC players don't have to wait that much longer for Halo 2 to make its way over because public beta tests have officially begun.

Not too long ago we were celebrating the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary making its way to PC. It won’t be too long before Halo 2: Anniversary makes its way to PC as well. 343 has begun hosting its first public PC beta tests just yesterday.

The community coordinator for Halo Tyler Davis shared the news over on Twitter. He stated that “all ring 3 blockers have been resolved.” This means that it is ready to go public.



Anyone can sign up for the Halo Insiders program which allows access to these public beta programs. Though, signing up will not guarantee access during the first public test. 343 figures out particular types of hardware and specific locations they would like to test on and then goes from there.

It is great to see the fantastic Halo series make its way over to PC. As of right now, PC players can play both Halo: Combat Evolved as well as Halo: Reach. When Reach first made its way over to Steam it was dominating the sales charts and was one of the top played games on the platform for a while. I would have to imagine that Halo 2, arguably the best multiplayer title in the franchise, would have the same effect.

Wow this is surprising lol I've never heard someone say that their favorite Halo was Wars. I could never get into it that much.

9nty Thinking to give it a shot on PC as it's better controls wise compared to play it on console.


I plan on playing it on PC with a controller tbh. Maybe I'll give it a shot without one but I think I would definitely prefer it.


If I get it on PC we definitely need to link up, I never used to like halo but I wanan try get into it.


I'm down. I'm hoping the staff on here or someone can organize some lobbies and we can all have some fun on it. Halo 2 is an amazing game and 3 is coming soon as well for PC.

I think it will be better when it has a full release for everyone and there's a bigger variety of what you're able to play and more people playing

I got my insider download the other day and plan on downloading it so I can stream some pc halo. Was never the biggest h2 or h2a player but now we're so close to h3 I can taste it
