Sony Patent Points To Robot Tech That Reacts To Your Emotions

4
Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed a patent for what appears to be robot-based technology, and what’s more, it’ll apparently react to your emotions while having a gander at your gameplay in action. Interesting!

Sony Patents Robot Technology
Here’s a description of the patent:

The inventor focused on the possibility of utilizing a robot as a joint viewing player who experiences sympathy with a user. For example, it is expected that the user’s affinity with the robot is increased and motivation for playing a game is enhanced by the robot viewing the gameplay next to the user and being pleased or sad together with the user.

Sony has apparently cobbled together a ‘feeling deduction’ device that is designed to ascertain the player’s feelings. The fact it’s flirting with robot tech shouldn’t be a surprise; Sony previously worked on the robot canine companion aibo, after all.

Of course, just because Sony has filed a patent for this tech, doesn’t mean that it’s guaranteed to see the light of day Still, it’s still intriguing to see what the console maker is looking at all the same.

Lgnd Im always angry when playing games like call of duty. I feel like this tech will be hard to implement.

Imagine a robot telling you to put the controller down for a little bit to relax and get in a better mood to game LOL.

In all honesty this is some weird shit. I got a robot telling me if I'm depressed or not? Is it going to be able to tell if I'm horny as well?
