DICE Lashes Out at Angry BattleField 3 Fans

Things hit the fans recently on the BattleField 3 EA UK forums.

It seems that certain members of the community forum weren’t too happy when it was announced that Operation Metro was going to be the provided map during the beta testing period of the game. This announcement came AFTER DICE had previously claimed otherwise, that the Operation Metro wasn’t going to be used for beta. Apparently some fans had their hearts set on a different map to play during the beta ( one that would allow up to 64 players ) and became somewhat upset by the news.

When the complaints became loud a forum moderator shared his opinion on the matter:

DICE Lashes Out at Angry BattleField 3 Fans

Almost immediately after the mod hit the submit button on his post the entire thread was deleted, but not before someone made the above screen shot of it.

Was the mod’s response to the disgruntled fans in this case appropriate or over-the-top?

Yeah i seen that but i don't remember them saying it would be a different map. Thats why i asked you.

The mod is 100% right, You should be grateful that the betas even being made public. They dont have to make it public if they dont want to.

The Mod's actions were that of a normal person, and he is right BETA's are a gift not a right so just be happy they released it lol

We should be happy that we are getting a beta with all the effort DICE are putting into this game. All the game expos they have gone to and let people play the game already, all the trailers and gameplay they are putting out for us and they have already had the alpha for PC.

Operation Metro looks like a great map anyway.

i know right, what do you expect from customers who want a taste of the game?
and i got MOH special edition, do i have the right to the beta, tbh i would of prefered a closed beta, it gets the HC players in and the noobs out
