When the Wii U was announced at this past E3, several games were announced to come to the system. That’s nothing new, but the surprising part is that a good part of them will be third-party games. Upcoming blockbusters like Battlefield 3 and Darksiders II will be coming to Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Well, it sounds like Bethesda would like to get in on that action as well. When asked by the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine about the possibility of Skyrim coming to Wii U, Bethesda’s Pete Hines said it was “possible.” “It’s definitely a possibility for the future. We’ll look at any platform that will support that games we’re trying to make, but that’s the key thing — the
console has to support the game as it is designed.”



Don’t automatically assume that they can crank out all the dragons and magic with the flick of a wrist by November 11. Hines was quick to assert that porting Skyrim would require some work.


“The more changes we have to make to a game the less and less palatable it becomes because making a game is an enormous process. Just doing 360, PS3 and PC – I don’t think people understand the amount of work that goes into that. All of the localization you have to do… all of the testing you have to do… on every platform in every language… It’s a pretty huge undertaking.”
