New Xbox 360 cable allows console transferring

If you've got your hands on a shiny new Gears of War 3 console and are scratching your head trying to figure out how to move all your data from the old Xbox 360 Slim to your new one scratch no longer - you'll need one of the new transfer cables.

The new Xbox 360 transfer cable, which you can take a look at in the image attached, will allow users to move games, videos, music, saved games, gamertags and achievements to another slim console.

Microsoft is currently selling the cable for $14.99. Remember when these were free?

Alternatively you save a few quid by connecting an an appropriately formatted USB stick and use that to shift everything over.

Their is now a modding accessory for the slim!

The old transfer cables work on the slim, you just have to take apart the hdd and use the cable that connects the hdd to the xbox 360.
So its not new.

Why take the time to do that. So its new.

I'm sorry. Am I being told I can't just open the little trapdoor on the bottome of the Xbox, take out the hidden Hard Drive, and swap it in a new Xbox?

Isn't this the EXACT SAME cable that was released with the old 360 HDDs? BTW this does not allow transfer from 360S to 360S according to the details. So how is it new?

I have seen one of these befor it comes with the slims or a HDD if you buy one!
