Modern Warfare 3 sells 6.5M in biggest day-one ever

We all need some extra cash in the holiday season, and if you're looking for someone to hit up for a loan, we'd recommend your rich Uncle Activision. The company just announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sold 6.5 million units in the US and UK on its first day, good for $400 million. To put it in perspective, that's the biggest day-one for any entertainment product ever in history. This tops previous records set by Modern Warfare 2: a paltry $310 million and Black Ops, estimated to have made $360 million in its first day.
Of course, analysts had pre-orders pegged at roughly 9 million, so you know what that means to Battlefield 3 fans. Yes, Modern Warfare 3 is a huge disappointment falling well short of expectations. See, internet? Everybody wins!

Lol gtfo, first of all its you're and mw3 sucks it really doesn't take any skill to play and all it really is, is the biggest dlc ever. Who cares about my posts oh wow I have a life.
yeah the games amazing but if you dont have it yet I wouldnt recommend getting for atleast a month, till all the little kids learn that its just a game and they can take there tents down and play.

Oh and to all the people saying Modern Warfare 3 is a bad game, it's not. You're just bad at it. If you were good at the game then you would have nothing to complain about now would you?
This is a great game but the only people who dislike it are
1) People who are bad at it.
2) Battlefield 3 fans.

Battlefield took a week to hit 5 million. So, I guess MW3 wins after all. The game play sure is much better. Graphics are very good. Yes its an upgraded MW2, but that's all that it had to be to become successful. Battlefield needed an entire overhaul and still failed. BTW, yes I'm a Call of Duty fan. I'm also 30 years old and not a kid. I've played them all COD is by far the best all around.
