As noticed by Game Informer, the in-game store now lets players buy a booster to boost XP earnings by 50% across all saves for 1000 Helix credits (which equates to $10), or a booster that applies that same boost to both money and XP earnings for 1500 Helix credits (which is $15).
Ubisoft has said in a statement that it has added the option for players to boost their progress in the game as more post-launch content becomes available, for players who want to skip ahead, so to speak, to the new playable content.
“As more and more post-launch content becomes available, we want to give the option to players to advance their progression,” a Ubisoft rep said. “Utilities allow players who lack the time to fully explore the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to be able to acquire the game’s best gear, as well as other items, by accelerating their progress. For instance, these players can purchase maps that uncover some interesting locations in the world, but would still have to visit and play them to get their rewards.”
Considering the fact that the issues with almost compulsory grinding that plagued Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are much less prominent in Valhalla, I imagine the XP boosters available here will be much less flagrant.
