Infinity Ward Swings Ban-Hammer on MW3 Cheaters

Over 1600 bans have so far been given out to those who cheat at Modern Warfare 3.

Infinity Ward creative strategist, Robert Bowling, released the news via Twitter. He said that the bans are a response to "Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch" the game. He also confirmed that updates to eliminate some of the glitches being exploited were in the works, and encouraged members of the community to identify offenders using the post-match report function. These reports are sent directly to Infinity Ward's security team who, Bowling said, "verify reports with in-game stats, in-game video recordings, and other data to verify you were cheating." The bans are then tailored accordingly. "Every ban [is] unique to the level of douchiness of the offense," Bowling said. "The greater the douche the greater the length. PermaDouche possible."

I doubt they will ban people who have the clan tag mods. Its their fault they didnt disable symbols and special characters in the clan tag keyboard. And I'de say 1/4 of MW3 players are using it so they wont ban all of them. The bans they are talking about are major glitches like invincibility, rank hacks, etc... Maybe even boosting but you shouldnt worry.

First off, you are obviously one of those cheating ****. I completely agree, except for one thing. They have no respect for themselves or anyone else. Not just for the dev teams. I love the fact that they are actually supporting this game and not just letting it run rampant. Personally, I think cheaters should be automatically perma-banned, but thats just my opinion.

Why people cheat:
1.single player is fun to lay multiple times moded.
2.They cant level up on there own...

I remember good old COD4. Never fixed the glitches mainly because they didn't harm anyone and were just for pure fun. three kill streaks sure as hell beats 24356789 kill streaks.

I did glitch on Outpost and if I am given a ban/reset Ill accept it.

But I won't be impressed at all if I get a permban for glitching. If it happens it happens, oh well.
