Infinity Ward Swings Ban-Hammer on MW3 Cheaters

Over 1600 bans have so far been given out to those who cheat at Modern Warfare 3.

Infinity Ward creative strategist, Robert Bowling, released the news via Twitter. He said that the bans are a response to "Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch" the game. He also confirmed that updates to eliminate some of the glitches being exploited were in the works, and encouraged members of the community to identify offenders using the post-match report function. These reports are sent directly to Infinity Ward's security team who, Bowling said, "verify reports with in-game stats, in-game video recordings, and other data to verify you were cheating." The bans are then tailored accordingly. "Every ban [is] unique to the level of douchiness of the offense," Bowling said. "The greater the douche the greater the length. PermaDouche possible."

If you cant do well in a game without having to use glitches mods or having to boost then whats the point in playing the games it defeats the purpose of the games to have fun while playing fair

Legitsmith If you Hacked you deserved it... If you Boosted you more than deserved it... If you were trying to get into a Glitch for your benefit you deserved it... but if your like me you record Glitch's and send them directly to Activision, Sledgehammer Games, And , Infinity Ward...

I'm sure about 7/10 people on this site would agree that Modding and boosting Online, in a game is annoying and people deserve the ban. Unlike you, i have seen TTG evolve over 2 Years from a Glitching and Basic Modding site to a Huge Forum mainly aimed at gaming but more importantly technology with Modding perishing away and glitching being posted very few times now.

So next time you Troll, get your FACTS right please! Or you can "GTFO" (Because im a kewl kid).
Half of you don't even know what modding is, i doubt 1/8 even know how to hack...and boosting and modding a game that your going to get banned on seems pretty pointless to me anyway

Well, it's technically NOT the game maker's fault because it's not like they put it in the game purpose. Also, it would be the player's fault for looking for and/or using the glitches and exploits.


yeh i guess... but with the clan tag glitch its just the keys on an xbox remote.. whats wrong with that>!?

Well that's just stupid. Sure they found it, but the person who found it, instead of reporting it discretely to IW, released it and caused a bunch of people to start cheating. The person who found it and all who abused it deserve their bans.
