Infinity Ward Swings Ban-Hammer on MW3 Cheaters

Over 1600 bans have so far been given out to those who cheat at Modern Warfare 3.

Infinity Ward creative strategist, Robert Bowling, released the news via Twitter. He said that the bans are a response to "Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch" the game. He also confirmed that updates to eliminate some of the glitches being exploited were in the works, and encouraged members of the community to identify offenders using the post-match report function. These reports are sent directly to Infinity Ward's security team who, Bowling said, "verify reports with in-game stats, in-game video recordings, and other data to verify you were cheating." The bans are then tailored accordingly. "Every ban [is] unique to the level of douchiness of the offense," Bowling said. "The greater the douche the greater the length. PermaDouche possible."

Spamming is posting something irrelevant or not helpful. What YOU just posted was spam, because it was an incorrect statement and had nothing to do with the original focus of the discussion.

Back on topic, I'm glad the cheaters are getting banned. This game shouldn't be ruined so early into it's release date.

He is just trying to scare people into not doing it.

They can only ban you for modding/hacking the game (level,stats or guns)

Glitches are exploits in the game which it is IW's job to find and "patch" all glitches before the game is released. Therefore they should not ban you for glitching.

They don't have to have a reason to ban you, it's in their terms of service. Literally, if they don't like you, they can ban you.

to violate rules or regulations is the meaning of cheating...and boosting is against the rules so that = cheating
