Cyberpunk 2077 Player Discovers a Hole in the World

4.1
If there's one thing that can be said about Cyberpunk 2077 in its current state, it's that the game is rife with bugs and technical issues. These sorts of problems have broken the composition of the experience for many players upon entering the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Though, now it seems the developers left a pretty glaring and game breaking issue that practically any player can now find.

For even the average player, a lot can go wrong in Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of performance. Frame rate drops and issues with draw distance are just the tip of the iceberg. It's clear that there are a lot of problems in the game that have yet to be addressed. However, now it seems that the developers flat out forgot to fill in a part of Night City's map.

Thanks to Reddit user BurritoGlasses, players can now find a hole in Night City's map where if players fall down it, it briefly leads into the skybox, before spawning the player back inside Night City. Considering the size and scale of Cyberpunk 2077's map, BurritoGlasses included in the clip they posted the point in Night City where the hole is located.

Uhh... I think the devs forgot something from r/cyberpunkgame

With how many patches and hotfixes CD Projekt Red has released for the game already, it seems likely that once the studio finds out about this, the hole is going to get covered very quickly. Thus, for the players looking to seek out the hole in Night City, it would be wise for them to do this quickly before the developers inevitably cover the hole up.

Admittedly, it is rather astounding how something like this could make in through quality assurance testing. Then again, this arguably isn't the biggest technical problem Cyberpunk 2077 is facing at the moment. Back when the game first launched, there was a glitch that covered Night City in a bunch of trees. This was actually one of the first major glitches to get fixed within the game.

For how many problems players are currently facing with regards to this game, it is important to note that so long as these issues are performance oriented, they can get fixed with enough time. One of the most famous cases of a game getting made better by additional updates and patches is No Man's Sky, a title that within the last several years has seen major improvement overall. In addition, CD Projekt Red's very own The Witcher 3 suffered from numerous technical issues when it first launched, but once it got thoroughly patched, it became a beloved title within the gaming community. Ultimately, it seems that Cyberpunk 2077 just needs more development time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
