Sony Learns Lessons with PS3, Won't be Late with PS4

Sony says it doesn't want to be late to the party with its next generation 'PlayStation 4'.

Speaking at a Vita press event in London, PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan said, "I think we would consider it undesirable to be significantly later than the competition." But he said the company has plenty of work to do with its current generation. "There's still a lot of unfinished business on PS3."

He added: "If you look at PlayStation 2, now in excess of 150m units installed globally, a huge majority of that was done at lower price points. There's a considerable untapped part of the market there for PS3."

Nintendo's Wii U launches in 2012, and rumors are circulating of increased activity on Xbox's next machine, nicknamed Xbox 720 or 'Loop'. In the current generation, PlayStation 3 launched a year later than Xbox 360.

What do you think? Should Sony wait and launch in its own good time? Or is it important to come out alongside, or even before the next Xbox?

We've all had it with the cheating wetbacks on Red Dead Redemption. Rigardo00, DeMoNioZ_ZaTaN, sinful-heaven84, El_SiCaRiO_169, bakerchokolatito, EL_PADRINO_MV, El_Komander100, EL---JEFE---_JV_ and El--Katch are just some of the beaners that are ruining the game on the Playstation 3. These second class cheating bitches all use modded PS3 consoles and modified controllers. They take their sorry ass ghetto cheating tactics and use them on games like Red Dead Redemption. Nobody likes them or wants them around. It's time for you beaners to take the advice you are given seriously. Stop cheating or find a different game.

Pichu- I hope they wait, I wanna get as much out as my PS3(1 jailbroken and 1 regular for online), plus the vita is coming out, let people have the chance to enjoy everything else first and then suprise them because in reality, the xbox will sell more(not a fanboy of either), but its true.

Not nessesarly true ps2 outsold xbox 1 by far....ps3 was just late plus it was like 600$ when it came out I have both but prefer ps3 but since everyone has xbox because its cheap lol i never play the ps3 but anyways if they come out with the right price and technology (As we all know its alot better in the ps3 then the xbox) it will sell more plus they need better online xbox live honestly is almost worth paying for compaired to ps3 only (Almost) lol.
I guess, but it seems like microsoft has made themselves the peoples choice, unless Sony can put more options and a better customization, I will still wait for the PS4 because I cant afford live and games, plus msp, headsets, either way, they both will hopefully be amazing and not seem like all they did was something that an update could fix. I cant wait to see what they look like and expecially what they do and the specs.

i have both systems and i can honestly say call of duty and bf3 are much better on xbox 360 tech wise ps3 has upperhand with blue ray but blue rays only good for never scatching a disc and more space online play is better on xbox but my ps3 i love i got all the collection packs from ps2 and getting jak and daxter collection when coming out in feb. i only get playstation exclusives which are amazing!
