Battlefield 3 sells through 8 million of 12 million total shipped

In the month of November, EA moved another 3 million copies of Battlefield 3. At least, that's according to numbers revealed yesterday by EA CFO Eric Brown at the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco (as reported by Game Informer), which has the game selling 8 million units in total across all its platforms out of 12 million shipped.

As with most major game launches, both the shipped and sold amounts of the game have dropped significantly since launch, with two million being pushed to retail from EA in the month of November versus 10 million during the first week. The game's first big expansion -- "Back to Karkand" -- is set to be released some time in December, with PS3 owners getting a crack at it one

Kramatic The game was fun for about a week and then got boring.
i am a battlefield fan i dont really like call of duty, but i agree i have over 150+hours of gameplay on BBC2 but only 18 on BF3

Who cares if it sold so much?! I say Activision are a bunch of capitalists. They KNEW that BF3 was going head on against them! So they paid everyone to say that MW3 is better! You sir, don't know what a challenge is. All you do in COD is camp, n00b tube, rinse and repeat. In BF3, you HAVE to work as a team, or else you don't win. Is there killstreaks in BF3? NO! But the best part is you can fly a helicopter, a jet, and even drive a tank in BF3 without having to get a certain amount of kills! Is that is MW 2.000000001?! No! So shut your mouth and keep your COD fagginess to you and all of the little kids of the COD community.

Well here's what i think.

I really like the battlefield series and i was disapointed with battlefield 3. The reson was that they tried to hard and changed too much and ruined the game. I thought that Infinity Ward had a great idea and taking some things from Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. This was a great idea because they did not change many things. I think that game developers need to know that you dont change something that doesnt need to be changed. If EA kept everything the same from Bad Company 2 w/ a little tweaks they could have easily out-sold MW3. Since that was not the case MW3 did a lot better with their sells.

P.S. dont hate i just wanted to get this message across because people need to know this instead of vigorously fighing with each other about which game is better.

"Mature men and women," I hope you're not claiming to be one of those mature men and women - Because mature individuals would realize that both games are directed at two entirely different audiences. Age, and gender has nothing to do with the total number of sales globally. I like both games, but I myself know that this is the first time Dice has ever publicized their game as much as they did. Also - Sales do not lie, Modern Warfare 3 sold a record breaking amount of sales in it's first week, more than Battlefield 3. Fanboy.
