EA Announce Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand Release Dates

Electronic Arts has announced the release date for Battlefield 3's first DLC, the Back to Karkand map pack, to which preorder customers have been awaiting their free access. PlayStation customers get the content a week ahead of everyone else, as a result of the Sony/EA deal that gives PS3 owners the first shot at new BF3 content – meaning Dec 6 is the pack's PSN date, with PC and Xbox 360 players joining in on the 13th. Back to Karkand features Frostbite 2 remasters of four Battlefield 2 levels: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. The pack also adds Battlefield 2's Conquest Assault mode, which ups the stakes of the basic Assault mode. It's not all recycled content, though, as the pack also adds three vehicles, ten new weapons, and added Dog Tags and Achievement/Trophy points.
We previewed Back to Karkand recently and were definitely happy with the BF2 maps' transition to the new game. If you preordered, the pack is a God-given right to be pried from your cold dead hands; otherwise, expect to fork over $14.99 or 1200 MSP for the added content.

This is i believe the first some what new game to recieve a dlc. But the down side of every dlc (jst about every1) u have to pay a high price for these bad boys!

New weapons = more balance issues
New achievements = something cool, if you actually give a **** about achievements.
New dogtags = lol

Everything they're adding is stuff that was already created that couldn't fit on the xbox disc. So they decided to put it as a DLC and make some money off it.

Your logic fails.

It's free for anyone who bought the game new, so who fails? And silly you for thinking a few new guns will make the game unbalanced. Please dont post if you dont know what your talking about.

stupid console kids with their bad company band wagon-ing. these maps are old. and attack conquest is old, its like rush + conquest. if you play bf2 back in the day, you would know. stop tryin to intice the strictly only cod kids to get a war going. bf3 on console = ****. and mw3 = **** period.

Lol, Stop being a p.ussy kid. PC isn't any better than the xbox is. So what if you can get better graphics, at least we don't have to fork over nearly $100 for a new Graphics card every 4 to 6 months.

Battlefield 3 has been the only game since Crysis that has required a hardware update, that was 4 years ago.
