In a blog post covering today’s Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 launch, the publisher warned that expanded file sizes mean players on base PS4s may have to delete some unused content in order to successfully download and install the latest patch for the battle royale game.
Activision said players can free up storage space by deleting data packs as follows:
Black Ops Cold War: At the main menu, press R3 to go to “File Management.” You will then be able to delete any content you may not have played in a while. The exact content to choose can be found in the Storage Management article linked below.
Modern Warfare/Warzone: At the main menu, press Options, select the “General” tab, then scroll down to “Game Installs.” From here, you can delete any content you have not played in a while.
The publisher also provided a link to a webpage offering more detailed information on Black Ops Cold War storage management.
Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 includes a new “large-scale” Zombies experience called Outbreak, six free-to-acquire weapons, four multiplayer maps and fresh points of interest in Warzone, among other features.
In Warzone, the Verdansk map has been updated with a shipwreck, missile silos, mysterious Black Ops zombie terminals and a new dock at the dam.
