Battlefield 3 CM Congratulates Modern Warfare 3 for “Best Shooter” Award

Daniel Matros’ reaction to Modern Warfare 3 winning the VGA’s best shooter of the year.

Last night, Modern Warfare 3 pipped Battlefield 3 to win the VGA’s best shooter of the year. Battlefield 3′s global community manager, Daniel Matros, congratulated Modern Warfare 3 for winning the award. He went on to say that Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games “made one hell of a game.” However, in Matros’ “heart and mind” Battlefield 3 is “still number one.” Matros must be glad that he dodged a tea-bagging. It should be noted that neither shooter was nominated for the game of the year category, and Skyrim snagged that trophy. On the multiplayer front, Portal 2 was the winner against the two FPS games mentioned above and Gears 3.

Both games are garbage, AC: Revelations and Skyrim are far better than the two, plus Skyrim has had 3 years to be developed, DICE, IW, and Sledgehammer, just use the same engines and what not, they just do small changes here and there! Skyrim deserves to be game of the year, because it took a serious amount of time and effort to make the game! MW3 is nothing but twitch and reflex, which I'm bored of, and BF3 is only good when you have a team that know's what they're doing! To even call yourself a gamer just based on these to games is an insult to you and the community! Those who dwell your life on these games and claim them to be the best of the best need to get out more and explore the rest of the gaming world...

who gives a flipping f*ck. All FPS are pretty much the same. here shoot this guy, knife him. I've played both games they are both equal. In COD you find your enemies fast for quick games and intense cqb's. In BF3 you work as a team to secure and defend an objective. That is why Skyrim and AC: Revelations are much better quality games.

Legitsmith Call Of Duty shouldnt show off... And nor should Battlefield... They both have their down sides and upsides... But IMO its Battlefield that is better.... Call Of Duty doesnt have a jet and it doesnt have the map size and graphics even on pc.... Its time Call Of Duty buffs up and puts in some different graphics and my own vehicle to drive.....

That has to be the dumbest post here. COD isn't a vehicle based game. Anyone could easily say "Battlefield 3 has vehicles and the big maps, which I hate. It's time Battlefield buffs up and puts in some smaller maps and remove the vehicles."

That is by far the dumbest comment here. Battlefield is Battlefield, COD is COD. Don't ever wish for them to change completely. BTW, small maps and no vehicles suck balls.

I'll be honest, as I bought BF3 way before I got mw3 ( I got mw3 on dec 8th) MW3 is way better. I just couldn't get into BF3. MW3 though still isn't the greatest.

(not being a fanboy to any game whatsoever as i dont even play either) theres a contradiction to what you just said
battlefield isnt about small maps without vehicles (battlefield isnt just about the vehicles either) so neither game should copy the other as then we would have 2 of the same games
with 2 different great fps like these everyone should stfu and play the game they are in the mood for
if they are in the mood for a cod like style then play mw3
if they wanna try something different or arent in the cod mood play battlefield

if you arent in the fps mood at all then play skyrim ;D

That's what you think I hate battlefield 3 and love mw3 why I wont get killed by a tank jet or anything other then a ac130 but that has to be earned not just spawn in it at least if they earned it you can have some respect
