The developers over at Bethesda have just released their third update in 30 days for the game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, if they keep this up and continually put out updates to keep the game in good working order I can see it being played for years to come! As of December 16th,2011 Bethesda released "Patch 1.3" to fix the following bugs:
-General Stability improvements
-Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
-Fixed magic resistance not calculating properly
-Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
-Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
-FIxed Y -look input to scale correctly with framerate
Just hours after the release of Patch 1.3 multiple reports of new bugs were already piling in, players claimed that there is a balancing issue causing them to level up entirely too fast. On a whole it seems that the update is stable and only a small percentage of gamers are still experiencing the major issues. Patch 1.3 did not put the game in perfect working condition with absolutely no problems, rather the game is merely playable for everyone once again.
WPSpy I dont get why they make patches.. If someone wanted to, all they have to do is decline the update.. and then they are still able to do all the glitches and mods their is..
Yea, but they wouldn't be able to go online and play. For example, if the guys over at IW put out a patch to fix a glitch in MW3 then everyone would have to accept it to play Multiplayer, they can't just not accept the patch and continue playing as if nothing happened...
Well, Skyrim isn't online. And they put patches out to fix bugs that bother players, not specifically for patches exploits.

That's why they make patches... To make the game better
