Without going too much into details, the storyline is centered on Link and Zelda, as you’ll see them in younger days to adulthood, with some surprises and twists along the way.
Skyward Sword’s combat is better then I expected, as this time around Link seems much more athletic as far as jumping and running, though running has a stamina gauge, that empties and regenerates.
I love the fact that the combat is very simplistic, though if you spam the button you unleash more combos that’ll do more damage. The boss fights require more thought, then just button smashing, which made those boss fights more intense and engaging.
There aren’t enough mini games, which is strange for a Zelda game., in fact there isn’t many distractions along the missions. Which in turn makes the game a little short, then what most people would be expecting. The game still has a good length of playthrough.
The game’s graphics seem to do all that Wii is capable, which in this case really doesn’t matter as much, cause the story and gameplay is fine. The soundtrack music is not overly exciting, as Zelda offers no voice acting, aside from subtitles, you’ll only left with the feeling on how a scene is by the background music.
MotionPlus is actually very well integrated in this game, it really helps to add certain feel that one has to experience for themselves to gain a perceptive.
Closing: The game has a lot of things that were done right, though at times it can be too linear. The camera at times can become very frustrating, as you struggle for the right camera angle. Overall, this is one of the better 3D Zelda that I’ve played in quite some time, thanks to the motion controls and overall design.
