Microsoft warns of fake Halo 4 beta invites

Microsoft has been getting word out that phishers are attempting to trick consumers with shifty websites with the ruse of Halo 4 Beta invites, which is not the case at hand.

David Ellis of 343 Industries had this to say via his Twitter: "If you see a page claiming to allow you to sign up for a Halo 4 beta be advised, IT'S A FAKE."

We hope the warning can get out to make sure less consumers get swindled by these phishers.

i got a email about the beta..i new it was fake the biggest part that gave it away was they said it was for ps3 XD like such a awesome game could ever go to ps3. even if Microsoft didn't own the rights to halo. i cant wait till the real beta

I'm hoping that 343i will do an excellent job on Halo 4, we got a new team, and hopefully they'll listen to us.. (Even though I already know they have been)
