Third CoD: World at War map pack enlists one million on first weekend

In a very unsurprising turn of events, Activision has announced that the third downloadable map pack for Call of Duty: World at War was downloaded over one million times during its first weekend of availability (August 6 - 9). That figure is derived from both Xbox 360 and PS3 downloads. The console war doesn't impede the progress of real war! Real war in the ... game, we guess. That could have been phrased more cleverly.
Activision also revealed that all of the game's combined DLC has been downloaded a whopping 6.5 million times, which, based on the price of each pack, comes out to around $65,000,000. It's easy when you just have to multiply by ten!

I think they should keep making it. Patches cost money so they have to get the money somehow.

@Greenbird like that would happen lol as long as the maps have tree's walls and floors they wont ever stops glitching unsurprising making as much money as they do they really need to put together a better more in the know quality assurance team because theres fails

I think it is incredible that they make that much money but they cant afford to make a map with no glitches. Hire some better people!!!!

I hope this money is reinvested back into the company to improve the future games with better graphics, more detail, and better gameplay.



I bet they were supprised when they saw so many downloads though!

Here goes Treyarch making some money and as Sean said "milking the cash cow" I wish they focused more on the patches and everything then money, but that is there decision.
