Players have been reporting issues with the free 10-hour trial of Madden NFL 22 for EA Access and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
According to reports, the 10-hour timer was continuing to count down for some players even after they’d quit out of the game, meaning they weren’t getting to play for the full 10 hours.
Xbox’s official support Twitter account explained that the new system update should fix this bug.
A new console update has been released which will stop game trial timers from counting down once a title is fully quit. Please update your console to the newest version with the instructions at https://t.co/YAI9agB4vV https://t.co/HnA2O8HYLv

A new console update has been released which will stop game trial timers from counting down once a title is fully quit,” the tweet reads.
The Xbox Support website doesn’t yet provide any further information on the update, simply saying it offers “general stability and performance improvements”.
A future system update will boost the user interface resolution on Xbox Series X consoles.
Earlier this week members of the Xbox Insider programme who are part of the Alpha ring received a new update to test “an increased resolution UI” ahead of its wider rollout.
Prior to this update, Xbox Series X consoles had been rendering the dashboard and other UI elements at 1080p.
