There are no plans for Halo 4 to receive a public beta, 343 Industries announced in a Q&A with franchise development director Frank O' Connor. He answered a slew of fan questions about Halo 4, revealing that it would be possible to play Grifball, that there would not be a color-blind mode (though considerations for that audience have been made in art decisions), and a few other tidbits.
In related Halo 4 news, Microsoft recently won a legal battle against the bogus website Halo4beta.net, but as there won't be a Halo 4 beta we don't expect it to be put back into official use any time soon. Microsoft has also filed a complaint against Halo4beta.biz.

There's plenty of testing done before a game ever gets to a beta stage...so many n00bs.
Like we don't know this? Of course they test it a great amount, but they don't always fix everything. Not only this but a beta could also make it unnecessary for a lot of future updates to patch, or fix a certain map glitch etc.

This Game is the sort to need a Beta, for Feedback on what to improve and also what to add. this is disappointing and I hope the 343 industries know what they are doing. ( I personally think, if you Pre-order Halo4, you should get a code to redeem which is for the Beta, instead of just Downloading it from the Dash, - they did this with GOW3 and it worked well. ) < Just my opinion. I say there should be a beta so people could have different thoughts on what should be added, or taken away. Personally I think they shouldn't have come out with Reach, and just made another sequel in the original Halo series. Than hopefully they would have never got the idea of all that junk with Sprint, Jet pack, Armor Lock etc.

Bad idea having no beta. That's why the game have so few glitches on release because of beta. It almost makes me a little apprehensive about purchasing this title. Although I don't believe that H4 could be worse than HR. With or without a beta.
