As someone said earlier, it is all about BRAND RECOGNITION, with many brain dead zombie-like 12 year olds trudging out on CoD's release date with their parents to purchase the latest copy, even if said game is a load of ****
This is because of BRAND LOYALTY.

Buying products made by the same publisher/developer is brand loyalty, this is not ruled out for consumers who buy yearly call of duty releases. The '12 year old cod player' argument is amusing though seeing as though I've encountered those who are underage on halo, tf2, css, gears of war, killzone. The list can go on for ages, age range is irrelevant when it comes down to brand loyalty. Lots of assumptions for everyone!

I was just using age as an example, as I have seen many "young" people on Halo, GTA etc, but CoD has many people who are extremely brand loyal, just buying what is essentially the same game year after year, with many regretting their purchase soon afterwards. For example, many of my friends bought MW3 soon after it was released, because all their friends were on it. Now, most of my friends are on FIFA or GTA, with MW3 a thing of the past.

Halo is suuuuuuper trash! The next COD, be it Black ops 2 or something else it will definitely Be wayy better than anything They come up with Halo, halo is a garbage game i dont understand why people like that S H I T, Hell even Battlefield is better than halo but i do like the halo Campaign multiplayer sucks though. COD FTW

Halo multiplayer is Garbage it shouldnt even be compared to COD its so fake everything about it is Fake, Guns, world, characters ECT.. atleast BF and COD are based on real world war with real guns ECT. and CoD Multiplayer Does take skill if it didnt then why are some people Negative every game
in K/d because they suck, And you can call me a cod fanboy but i guarrantee im NOT a little Kid/squeeker who plays cod im 18 years old and only game Call of duty i have every cod game and enjoy them very much so calling me a cod fanboy isnt offensive im just doing what you are all doing saying Halo beats cod multiplayer when it clearly doesnt. Theres Millions of People that get on Cod every day more than BF and Halo and Not all are Squeakers TTG only has about what 250000 members so everyone that hates on Cod here is IRRELIVANT ! end of story im sure there are Millions of People who will proudly NOT care being called COD fanboys for thier favorite gaming franchise (Like me!).

I believe CoD cannot be called "realistic" if you can get shot a load of times and then recover in a matter of seconds, along with other factors ensuring that CoD is not realistic.
On the other hand, Halo has the possibility to be realistic, as it is set in the FUTURE by a few hundred years, which means, in many aspects, Halo is more realistic than CoD.

Halo4 Which, if the game has the words "Call of Duty" in it, people will automatically buy it regardless of what's included.. which is why there are a lot of people complaining about the game after the purchase they have made..

True, people pay for the title not the game.

Consumers like to play games that are familiar to them and just easy to jump on and play, same can be said about some aspects of Halo. Think how many people bought Halo wars just because it has Halo in the title? Brand recognition is key when you want to sell a lot of a title.

I think the author means the day, not the exact date. CoD always comes out the first Tuesday in November.
