Halo 4 Gets an Official Release Date

Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries have announced via the Halo Waypoint that Halo 4 will be releasing worldwide this fall on November 6th, 2012.

To help you remember this date, the characters of Red Vs Blue (re-imagined in the Halo 4 universe) have devised some highly complex mathematical equations to make sure that you remember not to forget (Video in read more) It’s noteworthy that November 6th is, historically, the day that games within the Call of Duty franchise release. This means Halo 4 could very well be going right up against Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Its only Treyache releasing their trash again, Halo should have no problem claiming #1 Unless Battlefield 4 or Gears of War 4 comes out of course.

John_US I don't think directly before Black Ops 2 comes out is the most perceptible option. Now, they'll have to compete against one of the biggest franchises around. IMO, they should release it maybe a couple of weeks after the COD release.
Oh my god why didn't they think of this? Oh wait they did! Why release it after COD? We all know that cod will sell multi millions of copy's, so releasing it after would mean losing sales to cod again. Releasing it right before or the same day would mean people who are sick of cod would have a choice buy halo 4 or cod and paste. Releasing it after would mean that everyone will still buy COD before then if thy have enough money buy halo 4. Also, making it release thE same week means that people have to choose one or the other and people that have been waiting for halo 4 for years will pick halo first!

Their is a lo to think about when releasing a game, they know better then anyone when the best time is and they picked it. I will be waiting in the Halo 4 line, no the COD line.

Terrible release date, Call of Duty with supersede Halo and as a result Halo will sell less then say if they were to release a month or two later/earlier.
Just an opinion but will likely be proven in the coming months.

They should release after call of duty because people play cod for like the first month and get bored, so there would be more people playing halo 4 then :)
