Skype Heading to Xbox 360

After Microsoft’s Skype acquisition last May, many have been waiting to see what changes might be coming to the popular VOIP service. A job listing at Microsoft seems to have given it all away though, as they are currently looking to hire a ‘Software Development, Engineer, Xbox – Skype’
Read on for the listing and additional information!

Reading from the description -

This job listing is all there is to go off at the moment, but it certainly sounds like Skype is on the way to the Xbox platform. With E3 only a couple of months away, it would seem the perfect time for Microsoft to announce another wave of their Entertainment Apps which have become increasingly popular with services such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, and LoveFilm just to name a few.

There’s always the chance that it could tie directly into the Party Chat system already available on the platform, with the ability for users on other devices to join an Xbox Live Party Chat….but that’s just all speculation at the moment.

If they could, they should add the ability where skype peoples could join party chats xD you would have to sync your gt with your skype username :b

I love how there's all ready fanboy wars being started yeah its a good idea and ill use it but stop dissing the PS3 it's just good as the xbox

I think this could work if they use better VOIP settings and also intergreat a cisco type system for video web confrence!(just an idea)

Actually it's a brilliant idea it just means I'll have to make sure I'm always wearing my pants while playing Xbox.

Do you know what Skype is buddy? It is not just video chat it is voice chat too, you can use it for "Computer Phone Calls" so to speak. I think they might integrate Skype audio codecs into party chat so it will sound a lot better.

I would like it to not be bound to its app as well which is something that microsoft are failing to comprehend.
