Ok...doesn't the same engine always get reused? Just tweaked a TINY bit to fit the graphics? I mean, seriously, the game was really good. People just jump on the hate wagon. Treyarch pushes the game forward and tries new things. IW does not (after COD4). End of story.

lol.. treyarch used the exact same recipe for just about everything in that game. "new" perks doesn't mean jack. They didn't do anything with the system, it was the same 3 perk deal like cod4. It was 3 per-determined kill streaks, 3 5 7, it was all identical.

The only innovation that panned out for them was zombies. They never thought it was going to become the next big thing. Funny thing about zombies is that you'll realize eventually that it is the absolute biggest waste of time ever. Any time you don't get a new record round wise it was a waste of the 1-10 hours you put into it.


MW2 actually tried to change things, they added pro perks, added things to quicken the pace of the game lightweight etc. They added many new killstreaks and made it more customizable. Spec ops or w/e. More weapon attachments etc. Not everything new works out for the best, but that's what being a trailblazer is all about.

Treyarch on the other hand always plays it pretty safe. They took the good from MW2 and put it in their same Cod5 game and were like 'it's done' and that's blackops for you. Sure they added like combat training or w/e it was called and whatever, but they clearly took that from another game.

One of my points was supposed to be that it's not difficult to make a good game when all you do is make a carbon copy of the best game of the series and just change the setting.

Treyarch doesn't necessarily suck, but they've really only made on decent game on their own, that being black ops.. (COD3 sucked ass, cod5 was a clone of cod4 just WW2 based, so there was no way it could be bad.., but they didn't really do much because it was a clone. Then with blackops they developed a decent game, too bad it was essentially a copy of cod 4 again with a few extra features)

@deadlydasher: Black ops is really easy.. easiest game of them all. You don't need deathstreaks because the game is a joke. Also blackbird is OP as f***, once you get that which is rather easy, chopper gunner and dogs are guaranteed.
