Minecraft beats Black Ops on Xbox Live's most played list

Call of Duty: Black Ops has been forced to take a no doubt temporary back step on the list of most played Xbox Live games thanks to Minecraft.

CoD games usually consistently dominate the top two spots of Xbox Live's most popular games. But while Modern Warfare 3 still has a firm hold of the top spot, the second-place seat has been stolen by Mojang and their cult-turned-popular crafting hit.
The Xbox 360 Edition sold over a million copies in less than a week on sale, breaking all previous Xbox LIVE Arcade digital sales records in the process.

Here's the list of Live's most played games for the week of May 14:

Black Ops was sorta boring when i got on the other day. Haven't even bought mine craft for 360 yet.

Junkeh Uhm, I don't see why this is such a big surprise ? Minecraft is a new, popular, fun and addicting game, it basically deserved the spot above Black Ops. Now don't get me wrong, I love Black Ops, I play it with my friends literally just about every night. But let's face it, there are newer games that people play more often, not everybody is like me and just stayed playing black ops.

Eh, well Black Ops 2 will be dominating the spots soon, no matter how much you guys whine and say it's getting old, and the future looks stupid. We all thought Modern Warfare 3 sucked, but look what spot it's taking on this list now ? Yeah, exactly.
mw3 is bad all the little 13 year olds on it may disagree but it is. Halo 4 will be the most played


You say that but we both know it wont be leading the charts. People will definitely buy it and it will do very well but it wont beat cod no matter how much anyone wants it too. That is unless Black ops 2 is the worst cod made yet and even then the sales based solely on zombies would keep it up towards the top.

Halo 4 will outsell and have more players than Black ops 2. Black ops 2 is projected to sell fewer copies than MW2.


And MW3 is selling fewer copies than Black Ops.
