IW "on the fence" over leaked Modern Warfare 3 'Terminal' map

According to reports, Modern Warfare 3 players spotted two new maps 'Shipbreaker' and 'Terminal' turn up on in-game listings over the weekend.

Videos have appeared online showing the maps appearing in listings, seemingly offering a premature hint at some upcoming DLC.
But don't get too excited yet - they may never see the light of day.

The game's exec producer at Infinity Ward, Mark Rubin, responded to question via Twitter, saying that the surprise appearance of the two maps was due to "Preparation for upcoming maps".

He went on to say, "Terminal is still on the fence but we are ready if we can launch that one."

Some took that as confirmation of Terminal's release at least, but Rubin went on to re-assert, "I said it was still on the fence and that we would launch it if we can," before dishing out a few "no comment" replies to anyone prying for more info.

It is speculated that Terminal could be a rehash of the Modern Warfare 2 map of the same name. Does that sound good to you?

I herd months ago that terminal would be in the game, not a big suprise to me.

XxNovaDragonXx I think MW3 was a horrible Call of Duty game. Maybe it's because I've played CoD since the first one, but this one actually made me stop playing all of them at once. I mean really, Elite was horrible, sure you got the maps sooner than everyone else, but that's the point. The time THEY got the maps, the first map pack for black ops would've been out for EVERYONE. So people pay to get the dlc at normal time. And even though the people who actually bought the game don't get them til 2 months later, we also have to pay more then the Elite buyers, for horrible maps and spec ops (who really plays spec ops?). If they do this for Black ops 2, I'll be very upset.


Don't hate on me by the way. This was just me expressing my own opinion. You may have a different one, but just because mine is different from yours doesn't give you a reason to flame me out.


BTW, It's not anyone's fault but Microsoft that everyone gets the maps at different times. ANd they are doing this for black ops.

This is the map I'm gonna play all day if it comes out.

Gonna get 6 friends and instead of dome 24/7 is Terminal 24/7.

I think that this is gonna be released because this is particle everywhere and It would be a shame if IW doesn't come out with this map pack.

This map is great and all, but I know I dont want to pay for a map that has already been in another call of duty. If I really wanted to play it I would just go to MW2. In my opinion this is just another "leak" to get people excited for an already bad game.
