Unlocking Xbox Achievements may soon get you free MSP

If you are what's commonly referred to as an "Achievements Whore", you may soon have a real incentive to rake in those Xbox Gamerscore points besides feeling good about yourself on Xbox forums.

Microsoft has teased that it will soon be offering new 'rewards' based on the unlocking of Achievements in Xbox 360 games.
The announcement came from the official Twitter feed of the Xbox Live Rewards website, which teased, "Coming Fall: a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements!"

Further prying for details was dismissed by the MS rep, but those familiar with the Xbox Live Rewards site will know that it's a loyalty program that offers free Microsoft Points as rewards for completing specific and varying tasks.

That considered, we expect some Achievement-related MS Point rewards coming this Autumn. And that sounds pretty good to us.

Not a bad idea but the ration of points to gamerscore would be very low.

As much as I would like this, it will most likely be such a pathetic amount of msp for gs
Probably like 1000MSP per 10,000GS that you get.

Maybe so but they would become very strict on gamerscore modding if theyre was rewards for your work. U would prob get ur account banned for life.

This is very bad idea because it is too easy to mod your Gamerscore
like my friend got something like 875 gamerscore and about in hour he had something like 25150 gamerscore

Hails This would be great, but wouldn't Microsoft + Game Makers loose money?


If anything they would make money, people would start buying more games to get more gamerscore. More games sold means more money for the developers and more money for Microsoft.
I don't understand his fully :/. If they I've us free ms points we are basically getting free games?
