Unlocking Xbox Achievements may soon get you free MSP

If you are what's commonly referred to as an "Achievements Whore", you may soon have a real incentive to rake in those Xbox Gamerscore points besides feeling good about yourself on Xbox forums.

Microsoft has teased that it will soon be offering new 'rewards' based on the unlocking of Achievements in Xbox 360 games.
The announcement came from the official Twitter feed of the Xbox Live Rewards website, which teased, "Coming Fall: a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements!"

Further prying for details was dismissed by the MS rep, but those familiar with the Xbox Live Rewards site will know that it's a loyalty program that offers free Microsoft Points as rewards for completing specific and varying tasks.

That considered, we expect some Achievement-related MS Point rewards coming this Autumn. And that sounds pretty good to us.

Yes, finally can be an achievement whore and get something for it haha,
But they'll probably make it online unlock only to get the MSP.

It probs wouldnt draw more people to xbox i think it would just increase the number of people who play campaign


Or draw people more to horizon :)


Haha thats true! but im guessing they could then have powers to console ban anyone found modding gamer score because i guess they could count it as fraud if you are illegally obtaining MSPs off them?



They will probably award msp when an achievement is earned while the player is online. to get around modders


People will find a way around whatever security measures they would put in place

With the modding, I could never see this happening, sorry it sounds like a dissapointment but I doubt it will see the light of day :(
