Nintendo: $100 Wii U game prices are 'fictitious'

Nintendo has confirmed retailers listing Wii U games around the $100 range "are using fictitious prices".

Retailers such as Amazon and GameStop have begun to list Pikmin 3 and Lego City Undercover at the massive price point, and in a statement to GameSpot the platform holder confirmed official pricing details have not been revealed yet.
"Retailers are beginning their presale activity, but given there is no official software price, they are using fictitious prices," it said.

"When software pricing is officially announced later this year, I am sure retailers will adjust their websites to reflect the true price."

Rule34 No one would buy a Wii-U game for $60, let alone $100. Where did these retailers come up with such a lie? lol.. No one would pay $100 for any game, leave it at that. I'm glad Nintendo confirmed they were fictitious because people would sh*t bricks if they thought it was $100 for a game.


Yeah they would receive no sales! I wouldn't even buy the new Fallout on Xbox for that price!

You guys, the article clearly says that the prices are made up and fictitious. They are not overpriced as they are not even priced yet.

You know that the article is saying the game price at $100, is not true right. Fictious means that Amazon and other game sellers just put it at the price because they wanted to, when the real prices are released they will be dropped.
