Rumor - 343 working on Halo 2: Anniversary Edition

According to the rumor section in the latest Official Xbox Magazine, a Halo 2: Anniversary Edition is in the works from 343 Industries. “Following the success of remake Halo: Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2: Anniversary,” reads the rumor blurb per CVG. We’ll send a mail. Currently, 343 is hard at work on finishing up Halo 4 for release in November.

Matches I am glad they are making an anniversary but I really hope they don't overkill the game and don't bring back the feel of Halo 2. I bet it will have the Halo 4 engine because it probably will be released after halo 4 and that's what they did with halo anniversary


ahah this makes no sense it would feel exactly the same as it would be the same coding and engine

If they are going to re make Halo 2. They should at least take the time and make it so it doesn't lag like crazy like Halo 1 re make >_>

No just no! Did you guys see what happened with Halo:CE? you couldn't play multipleyer cause of massive lag,this was due to using crappy 12 year old coding.I really hope this is just a rumor, Halo:CE anniversary was a really cool idea,but halo 2 anniversary would just be a scam, for 343 to make money.

I'm not sure what you just said, but i'd want the same feel of Halo 2 with the same engine, which would naturally include all the super bounces.

I hope they don't cheap out and use the reach engine or even the Halo 4 engine, it just wouldn't feel the same and that's bad mm'kay.
