EA confirms Battlefield 4

EA has officially confirmed Battlefield 4 is in development, via a Medal of Honor: Warfighter pre-order scheme.

Those who pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition will gain access to the Battlefield 4 beta, a video on the official Medal of Honor website confirms.
The Battlefield 4 beta will be available in autumn 2013, EA's confirmed, with additional details regarding the game itself set to be revealed at a later date.

The beta first leaked via EA's origin store earlier this week, and the sequel of course doesn't come as a huge surprise - Battlefield 3 released in October 2011 to widespread critical acclaim and 12 million copies shipped in its first month.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out in Europe on October 26.

Last month EA launched Battlefield 3's Premium service, which picked up 800,000 paid users in its first two weeks.

The Premium service acts as the sharp end of an ambitious DLC plan for the DICE shooter, with the Back to Karkand and Close Quarters expansions already released, and a further three DLC packs in the pipeline.

EA Labels president, Frank Gibeau said of the pre-order news: "Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base - Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment."

Zirtex This is going to turn like Call Of Duty every year the same old ****. I love BF3 its a great game but once you start making a add on to the series every year it ruins the game


it will probably be in all battlefields from now onwards but Battlefield Premium is actually good and makes Call of duty ELITE look crap because DICE/EA are actually rewarding the fans of Battlefield unlike with ELITE where you get nothing but i title and emblem.

Cant wait for BF4 anyway

And EA always make the developers rush games, it's not just activision. Which is why battlefield 3 turned out such a bad game like all of the previous incarnations post World at War in the Call of Duty series. Big companies are ruining it with stupid time constraints and micro transactions. Ultimately it's the consumers fault for buying these products and now you've fallen into a trap with BF3 and it's just going to be churned out as quickly as possible and end up like the Call of Duty series. Publisher logic is absurd but it makes money, and that's all that matters in capitalism.

I don't even get how BF is turning into CoD. The fact that anyone could even compare CoD to BF is just insane. Honestly the only people that say that shit is because they suck at BF and they just can't openly admit it, but have to blame the game for it.

People saying Battlefield is turning into CoD, this is coming out most likely with the new generation of consoles, with probably many enhancements across the board. I'd say that's a pretty good upgrade.

Wow. Interesting how they didn't really wait at all now people aren't going to want to buy too much of the DLC knowing that BF4 is going to come out in the next year or so.
