Minecraft XBLA sells 3 million

Minecraft for Xbox Live Arcade has now surpassed 3 million units sold. The announcement comes via Twitter from Mojang's lord of the blocks, Markus "Notch" Persson, who wrote this morning: "I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!"

The $20 downloadable title launched on May 7 and sold a million units in five days. It then reached two million sales in early June. Minecraft for XBLA has also enjoyed significant support through updates, the latest (v 1.73) having gone live last week.

I'm glad I'm one of those people, I love this game! Even though PC has a LOT more stuff than the Xbox version, it will catch up to PC. In time it will...

I wouldn't be surprised sine on the PC 6,701,463 people have bought the game so maybe Xbox might pass that mark.

Well it's a lot of money. Either way, it's amazing how something so simple can become such an amazing game.We need the Big thinkers out there, but its weird how the Simple thinkers can create something as small as minecraft, yet make it so big and make so much from it...

I'm new to Minecraft. Actually never stopped to realize how many people actually loved it.
Even as a newbie to the Xbox version, i wasn't surprised either.
