Minecraft sales pass seven million on PC

Minecraft sales continue unabated. Daniel Kaplan, business developer at Mojang, revealed today that the PC version of Minecraft has exceeded sales of seven million units; comparatively, the Xbox Live Arcade version has sold three million.

The seven millionth sale comes a week after Minecraft's 1.31 patch, which adds trading functionality and combines both single-player and multiplayer into one unified mode.

I can't wait and also i bet when they released minecraft they never thought it would end up this popular


Lol i wouldnt have either, its a really simple game, probaly didnt cost alot to make , yet there making a huge profit


Yet again so are any company who have games that are popular


But other games dont make as much of a profit, it cost alot to make other games then minecraft

Yeah but it also costs money to put out updates aswell for any game.


i believe they made a deal with microsoft to get a limited amount of free updates and also i think arcade game updates cost less than a regular game


But really the deal is still going to cost in the end but i wouldn't complain owners of MC are rich


Ofcourse there rich ! even with people using cracked games and getting the game without paying
