Metal Gear Solid 4: Kojima Productions explains trophy delay

4.7
Metal Gear Solid 4 has finally received trophy support, but what what took Kojima Productions so long to implement them? Producer Yuji Korekado has shed some light on the matter during a Metal Gear Rising interview.

Speaking with Gamespot AU, Korekado explained the delay, “Well first off, my information might not be as accurate, as that is a project that I wasn’t in charge of. Kojima Productions, as a studio, we are focused on developing games, but we have only so many resources.”

“So far,” Korekado continued, “we had been working on Peace Walker, Fox Engine, which is the base for the next, um, for other games. We had been working on Rising internally for a long time, so we were aware that users wanted trophy support, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the resources to make that happen. Using the excuse of the 25th anniversary, we decided to finally incorporate trophy support.”

There you go, a satisfactory answer?

VG247 also interviewed Korekado recently on Metal Gear Rising, you can check out what he revealed over at our Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance interview.

It is about time. Kojima really do not make good games in my opinion. I hate the controls on every game they make for some reason.
